Happy 27th

My husband and I celebrated our 27th anniversary with my Sister and her husband last weekend. My husband read about this Restaurant in Stanton that received the best of Orange county award in 2009. It was a fun experience and wonderful food. I love trying new restaurants and although I was a bit hesitant because this restaurant was a little off the beaten track but  it was worth the hike.

I shot a wedding in May. The bride was so pretty and excited for her big day. I must admit though a little bridezilla did come out. Only for a very short time though, as sooon as we fed her a little protein and hydrated her Bridezilla disappeared. It was a fun shoot for a sweet couple. Nifty Fifty

My wonderful husband bought me a great gift today.  I have wanted one for a some time now. It's a canon 50mm lens, nicknamed the nifty fifty.  I am so  looking forward to taking pictures with it. Through my research I learned that it is an inexpensive little lens that gives a lot of bang for the buck.  So if you would like to model for me I would love to do a photo sesh with you.  Lola could use a break.

True Grit Oscar party

Well my party went off without a hitch ; ) . My friends really got into the cowboy spirit and were all gussied up in their western duds. I think the kings speech did deserve to win Best picture although I must admit I did nod off once while watching it.  Here is a photo of my invitation. Next year I'm thinking a circus theme. Time will tell.

The Oscars

I am preparing to host my second "Oscar Party". The first party took place in 2009.  I invited a bunch of my Bff's and we had a great time watching the Oscars together.  I like to have a theme.  The last theme was basically glamorous.  The invitation said to get ready for your close up. (invitation below)  This year in honor of True Grit it will be a western theme. I am looking forward to it.  We are going to have a rootin tootin grand old time.

I'm not a writer.

I'm not a writer but I am a reader.  I enjoy reading other peoples blogs especially ones about decorating.
I love decorating my house.  I tend to decorate with used and inexpensive furniture. I am a thrifty gal and quite honestly I prefer the look of a slightly used much loved item.

So what will I blog about.  As the title suggest it will be about whatever pops into my head, runs across my line of vision or things and happening in my life.  If I ever get a follower I hope I don't bore you.
